Rubik’s cube solving is proven to infuse an abundance of benefits to cater to one’s development, mentally and cognitively.

This course involves solving the 3×3 Rubik’s cube with interactive sessions where the learners get a chance to learn to solve the Rubik’s cube stepwise. The next step would be taught only when the learner is confident to solve the current step independently. The objective of each of the classes would be to learn to solve each step independently.

Outcomes/Objectives of The Classes:

There are multiple benefits from solving the Rubik’s cube and it is a fun activity at the same time! Some of the benefits are:

• Improves patience and enhances problem solving skills

• Keeps the mind active and improves speed

• Improves reflexes & hand-eye coordination

• A sense of achievement and wow feeling

Description & Objective of the Classes:

Session 1: KNOW YOUR 3X3 CUBE- Being the 1st session, learner/(s) would be introduced to the 3×3 Rubik’s cube – pieces, layers, faces etc.

Session 2: SOLVE THE WHITE CROSS/PLUS) with Edge pieces matching the Centre pieces.

Session 3: SOLVE THE WHITE CORNERS WITH THE BOTTOM LAYER OF EACH FACE MATCHING THE CENTRE PIECE as you are holding the cube with the white centre on the downside.

Session 4: SOLVE THE MIDDLE LAYER.

Session 5: SOLVE THE YELLOW CROSS/PLUS

Session 6: ALIGNING THE YELLOW EDGE PIECES

Session 7: MAKE ALL THE CORNERS YELLOW/ COMPLETING THE YELLOW FACE.

Session 8: COMPLETING THE CUBE.

Further practice would help the learner/(s) solve the whole cube independently.

Pre-Requisites:

3*3 Rubik’s cube would be required for all sessions. Soft copy of the reference material would be provided to each learner before the session.

Print-out needs to be arranged by the learner and if printed copy is not possible, it needs to be saved in the device which can be used for reference.
